Over the course of 5 years, Chambers had been diligently forging hand-made iron, and the trust placed in his craftsmanship was indeed exceptional.
Every panel of the fence, meticulously hand-forged at the Arc Iron Creations forge in Buffalo, NY, reflects a commitment to detail and exceptional artistry. The owner’s desire for a fence exuding distinctive, handcrafted beauty, absent in mass-produced items, found its realization through the dedicated efforts of Andy Chambers.
Given the outdoor setting and proximity to a swimming pool, corrosion protection and enduring service life were paramount considerations. Here, galvanizing emerged as the artist’s choice, providing a robust shield against corrosion. To enhance the visual allure, the artist opted for a Sculpt Nouveau patina, etched onto the galvanized surface and sealed with polyurethane. This meticulous process not only yielded a deep, rich finish but also allowed the inherent spangle of galvanizing to subtly shine through.
